Hot and humid, and not one city
Spray foam marketing in Florida starts from a narrow climate band and a wide set of cities. The state is not a stand-in for a northern heating market, and Miami is not a stand-in for Jacksonville. This page is the statewide view. Population, degree days, and housing figures, when we have them, stay on the city page with their sources.
The U.S. DOE and PNNL, Guide to Determining Climate Zone by County (PNNL-33270), as of October 21, 2022, puts Florida's 67 counties in two IECC zones: 4 counties in 1A and 63 in 2A. Both letters are A, which is humid. Zone 1 is the hotter band. The cards below are those same counts. There is no dry zone and no marine zone in that Florida table.
On the city pages, Miami and Fort Lauderdale list zone 1A. Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, and St. Petersburg list zone 2A. All six are humid. The practical marketing difference is the map, not a swing from heating country to cooling country. Someone searching in Tampa is not standing in Miami.
Where a city page publishes degree days, compare heating and cooling on that page before you decide the headline. Do not borrow another city's degree-day pair. Where the page has housing age or owner occupancy, use those lines for that city only. Several Florida city pages are thinner on housing tables than the largest Texas or California pages. We do not fill the gap with a guess.
What to say about the energy code
The DOE Building Energy Codes Program status page for Florida, read on October 31, 2026, lists the residential code as the 2021 IECC with state amendments, effective December 31, 2023, mandatory statewide. The commercial line on the same table is the 2021 IECC and ASHRAE 90.1-2019, with state amendments, effective December 31, 2023, also mandatory statewide.
That is enough to cite on a contractor site if a builder asks which code you mean. It is not a license to add an efficiency percentage or a utility rebate. Florida utilities publish their own incentive pages, and those pages change. Link the utility when you have its URL and its date. This page does not quote a rebate dollar amount.
Separate metros, same kind of work
Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, St. Petersburg, and Fort Lauderdale are the large city pages linked here. Each one is its own Google Maps problem. A listing that looks strong at one point can be missing a few miles away, including across a bay or a county line you still want to serve. The Market Visibility Audit places a grid around the business and keeps the result tied to those points. It does not average the state into a single score.
The services we use in Florida are the same named services we use elsewhere, aimed at your towns. SEO for the services and cities you want. Google Business Profile so the listing matches the work. Google Ads for active searches. Facebook Ads for homeowners in the areas you named. Websites that a person can use on a phone. Reputation so finished jobs can turn into reviews. Lead generation as a page with one next step, not a shared lead. AI visibility so the company's public facts agree with each other.
You buy and own the domain. We do not hold it, and we do not transfer a domain. The agreement is month to month with 30 days notice. There is no pay-per-lead price and no exclusive city. The only office address is 13503 SE Mill Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98684.
If you want the grid, use the audit. If you want to talk about Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, or another Florida market on the list below, book a strategy call.

Spray foam marketing in Florida: FAQ
Florida is hot and humid. Does the marketing still change by city?+
The climate band is narrow: the DOE and PNNL guide (PNNL-33270, October 21, 2022) shows 4 counties in zone 1A and 63 in 2A, both humid. Miami and Fort Lauderdale city pages list 1A. Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, and St. Petersburg list 2A. The map still changes by city. A Tampa grid is not a Miami grid.
What building energy code does Florida use?+
The DOE status page, read October 31, 2026, lists residential as the 2021 IECC with state amendments and commercial as the 2021 IECC and ASHRAE 90.1-2019 with state amendments. Both are effective December 31, 2023, with mandatory statewide enforcement. Cite that page. Do not add a rebate amount it does not contain.
Which Florida cities can I open from this page?+
Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, St. Petersburg, and Fort Lauderdale are linked above. The rest of the city pages are in the grid below. Towns without a page of their own are listed by name under that grid.
Will I be the only spray foam contractor you work with in my Florida city?+
No. We do not promise exclusivity, and we do not reserve a city for one contractor. Another insulation company in your market can hire us too.
Do you charge per lead in Florida?+
No. We do not offer pay-per-lead or pay-per-estimate pricing, and leads are not shared with other contractors. Plans are month to month with 30 days notice.
You are in Washington. How does the work happen for a Florida company?+
Remotely. The office is at 13503 SE Mill Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98684. The website, the Google Business Profile, the ads, and the reporting are done from there.
Who owns the domain?+
You buy and own it at a registrar like Namecheap or GoDaddy. Spray Foam Genius Marketing does not hold the domain and does not transfer it.

Climate zones across Florida
Climate zone shapes what insulation work homeowners ask about, so it shapes what a contractor should lead with. The number rises as the climate gets colder (1 is hot, 8 is subarctic). The letter shows moisture: A is humid, B is dry and C is marine. Florida has 67 counties in 2 zones.
